Hi! My name is Em Jessee, and I am a second year Master’s student in Linguistics, with a certificate in Culture, Language, and Social Practice. Previously, I received my BA in Linguistics and LGBTQ & Sexuality Studies from the University of Michigan. My research interests are in sociophonetics and speech perception with queer and trans communities. I am also interested in accessibility and DEI in higher education. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy tap dancing and drawing.
