ASSETT’s annual call for Faculty Fellows is now open! Apply by December 6th for full consideration. This year our programming will focus on continuing to build your teaching repertoire in areas such as course design, active learning, inclusive teaching, teaching assessments, and teaching with technology. With support from ASSETT staff, Faculty Fellows serve as mentors, leaders, and liaisons to address teaching, learning, and technology needs and challenges within their individual departments.

Faculty fellows will participate in a seminar during spring 2022 with a cohort of interdisciplinary colleagues from across A&S. At the end of this seminar, fellows will propose a project to actively address identified teaching, learning, and technology challenge(s). For AY 2022-23, fellows will carry out their proposed projects, engage their departments where appropriate and share the results with their department and the wider A&S community. Additionally, ASSETT staff are available to support fellows work on projects. Fellowships require a three-semester commitment and include a $3000 professional development award. A cohort of up to 10 Fellows will be invited to participate. The seminar will consist of 8 meetings. The schedule will be determined by participants availability and preference for in-person or synchronously on Zoom.

Tenure-track faculty, instructor ranks and lecturers who have taught 4 of 5 of the last semesters are eligible. To apply, complete the online application and ask your department chair to submit a letter of support no later than December 6, 2022. Further details and submission instructions are available on the ASSETT website

Questions about the program or the application process may be directed to Amanda McAndrew, ASSETT Manager and Faculty Services Portfolio Manager.
